On the internet, we have access to hundreds of web pages that offer different types of training, of many categories, free or paid, fully online or semi-presential, etc. But perhaps you have heard of the INTEF training and still don't know what it is about. Well, in Training and Studies we summarize what is called INTEF courses or training and we briefly explain some of its most notable characteristics.
What is it?
The INTEF training is the one attributed to the National Institute of Educational Technologies and Teacher Training (hence its acronym). This institute is assigned by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, and its functions are to develop and disseminate curricular materials and other support documents for teachers, design models for the training of teaching staff and design and carry out specific programs, in collaboration with the Autonomous Communities, aimed at the scientific and didactic updating of the teaching staff. faculty.
For this reason, 3 different but complementary modalities of open and online courses have been opened, which are the following.
INTEF MOOC
MOOCs, a term coined by Dave Cormier during the development of an open course on connectivism in 2008, are massive, open and online courses. They are a training modality with proposals aimed at the web dissemination of content and a plan of learning activities open to the collaboration and mass participation. INTEF started in 2014 a pilot plan of MOOCs for Teacher Training that is now fully consolidated, with a perfectly outlined MOOC INTEF methodology.
NOOC INTEF
NOOCs are nano, massive, open, online courses that offer participants the opportunity to explore, learn, and be assessed on a key element of a competency, skill, or area of knowledge in a time frame that can go from a minimum of 1 hour until a maximum of 20 hours of estimated effort of dedication to the NOOC. Although it is an experimental modality, launched last spring 2016, the NOOC INTEF methodology is already well outlined, including the commitment to an estimated effort of 3 hours per nano course.
SOOC INTEF
The SPOOC INTEF is an experimental initiative of self-training oriented to the development of professional competencies, such as the autonomous learning management. Each SPOOC created by INTEF has an instructive design focused on allowing participants to achieve, at their own pace, the learning objectives set, develop their autonomy as learners in digital contexts, improve their digital competence and demonstrate it in an aggregated digital product and of value for the educational community.
All the aforementioned courses are tutoredHowever, independently of them, they have other courses "open" that, although there is no tutor to help us carry them out, there is great reference material and various activities. The latter do not require any type of registration either.
