The promotion program is not designed for new hires, but rather to consolidate and strengthen internal leadership through professional advancement.

To this end, emphasis is placed on both theoretical knowledge and practical management and leadership skills.

Depending on the category they choose, students complete between 900 and 990 teaching hoursThis places these courses among the most intensive training programs in the field of local security. Their duration is designed to combine legal, organizational, and operational subjects with practical exercises and continuous assessment.
The training programs address, among other aspects, the Local Police Services DirectorateThis includes planning special operations, managing emergencies within the municipality, and coordinating with other public safety agencies and services. The aim is for future commanders to have a comprehensive understanding of all available resources.
It also delves deeper into the organizational and human resources managementThe course covers topics such as departmental structure, service order creation, distribution of duties, and application of internal protocols. This knowledge is key to ensuring continuity of service without improvisation.
La economic and administrative management It occupies another important area, since many officers must be involved in budget preparation, equipment management, minor tenders, and controlling expenses associated with police activity. The aim is to ensure that operational decisions are accompanied by the efficient use of public resources.
Along with all of the above, the students work in depth command and leadership techniquesAnalyzing practical cases and real situations that can be encountered on a daily basis: from the organization of traffic devices to the management of neighborhood conflicts or the coordinated response to citizen security incidents.
Origin of the agents and presence of women in the courses
The new promotion reflects the diversity of municipalities in Castilla-La Mancha who are committed to strengthening their command staff. The 23 police officers taking the officer training course come from the Albacete City Council, the Ciudad Real municipalities of Alcázar de San Juan, Tomelloso, and Valdepeñas, and several towns in the province of Toledo.
Among the Toledo municipalities represented in the officer training course are Casarrubios del Monte, Consuegra, Illescas, Madridejos, Ocaña, OlÃas del Rey, Torrijos, Yeles and the regional capital, ToledoThis distribution demonstrates the interest of local councils of different sizes in consolidating better prepared management structures.
Regarding the sub-inspector course, the 13 participants come from La Roda and Albacete in the province of Albacete, the municipality of Tomelloso in Ciudad Real, as well as police forces from Cuenca, Guadalajara, Toledo, and Casarrubios del Monte. This is, once again, a group with broad territorial representation.
The inspector's itinerary includes two students linked to the Albacete City Councilwho have accessed this initial training after successfully completing the corresponding promotion process. Their participation in the course will enable them to assume broader leadership roles within their organization.
Of the 38 students in total, seven are womenTwo of them are participating in the sub-inspector course, four are preparing for the officer rank, and one is part of the inspector training program. Their presence, although still a minority, points to a gradual incorporation of women into positions of greater responsibility within the region's local police forces.
