The mastery of an English teacher it should be a requirement worldwide to be able to teach this language. This would ensure that students are really learning with good foundations, in this way grammar and pronunciation would be prioritized and not only advance through the topics as is currently done without the student being able to really use the foreign language to be able to communicate their problems , needs and emotions.
Within the plan that our government for the reduction of school failure, the need to improve the command of foreign languages āāfor both teachers and students is included and this is how if teachers do not meet the requirements they may lose their places.
Within Spain the use of a foreign language spontaneously and fluently is not a strength, and now we must wait three years for aspiring interns to be certified at the C1 (advanced) level. Currently, inmates are only required to be B2, that is, to have an intermediate level in the use of the foreign language. According to the new requirements, teachers who are currently linked as interns will be able to continue with level b2 only if they have 36 months of teaching experience. Which makes sense since more and more people agree that a B2 level is not enough to guarantee a quality education.
